Kenyans on social media especially
on Twitter and Facebook have criticized the (EACC) Ethics and Anti-Corruption
Commission for the summons issued to a deceased (MCA) for Central Sakwa ward in
Siaya county to a record statements. He is to ‘appear’ at their Kisumu offices
on August 19, 2019.
The late MCA Andiego who was also
the chief whip at the County Assembly died while serving his second term after
being re-elected on an (ODM) party ticket. He was replaced by his son
Charlton Andiego who won the seat after a by-election in 2018.

In a letter dated July 31, 2019,
EACC Western Regional Manager Ignatius Wekesa asked the assembly to facilitate
all the 41 MCAs to their offices in Kisumu to record statements.
In the

(Central Alego), Francis Otiato (Yimbo East) and Obiero Otare (Siaya Township).
