Mr. Francis Mburu |
Billionaire businessman Francis Mburu has lately become a subject of negative media publicity, most of the unwanted publicity has come from the mainstream media. Some journalist drawn mainly from the so called “big media houses” have formed a habit of mating out venom directed at a hardworking Kenya who has acquired his wealth in a clean manner, unless someone can give us a contrary view, we believe that Mr. Mburu is clean in his land transactions. How would you explain the fact that when The Daily Nation first published a story in which they claimed the businessman was a beneficiary of fraudulent compensation payments from the government, the media house deliberately chose to ignored or mislead their readers by not mentioning the fact that this was not the first compensation Mr. Mburu was claiming nor was it his last.
The fact is that as long as there are government institutions like schools and other offices seating on the land, Mr. Mburu is at liberty to claim for compensation. The Ksh. 1.5 billion compensation is his sixth claim by right. LR 7879/4 is a 96 acre property that politicians invaded and settled their supporters on without the consent from the owner.
Readers of this article may ask themselves a very simple question, why is it that The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (Kura) compensated Mr. Mburu when Outer Ring road was being expanded and not the squatters that have illegally settled on the land? Any Kenyan who may be interested in this matter can simple go to the Ministry of Lands at Ardhi house and conduct a search, the result will remain the same, that LR 7879/4 is registered in the names of Afrison Export & Import Ltd and Huelands Limited both firms owned by Francis Mburu together with his sons. Any person peddling a different narrative is simply telling a lie. One of the media house had the audacity to collect Ksh. 600,000.00 from Mr. Mburu who had wished to buy space so that he could set the record straight soon after the matter broke out, they took his money but declined to publish his side of the story. A few months back, the same Media house saw nothing wrong when they published an imagined death of businessman Jimmy Wanjigi in its obituary pages. They later apologized but the damage had already been done.

At the age of 25 years old most of us may not have achieved much in terms of wealth and property accumulation, but this is the age at which Mr. Francis Mburu applied for a loan from a commercial bank and acquired this property in Ruaraka. He didn’t grab it from the government or any individual as some media houses want us to believe. Please read our earlier story on the same here; http://theweeklyvision.blogspot.co.ke/2018/05/powerful-forces-behind-francis-mburus.html .The Weekly Vision therefore would like to challenge anybody with information to the contrary to table it before the public. We would also challenge any government investigative agency, be it the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, The Auditor General, the DSI, Senate, The National Assembly or any other interested party to contradict us and show the public that the Certificate of Search that is uploaded here is not authentic.
