WARRANT OF ARREST ISSUED AGAINST ALLAN CHESANG

Allan Chesang

Milimani Court Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi has ordered police to enforce the warrant of arrest against Allan Chesang, who is believed to be the kingpin of fraudsters operating from DP Ruto’s office.

Chesang has been operating freely despite being named as a suspect in the Shs 171 million laptops fraud and having a warrant of arrest against him. The matter was mentioned before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi at Milimani Law Court Nairobi County.

Andayi summoned the investigating officer to appear in court and further enforced the warrant of arrest against Chesang. The case was mentioned again on 16th of April 2019 before the Chief Magistrate Court for plea taking.

Mr Chesang is said to have been the brains behind a deal that saw a Makueni based business man Stephen Musyoka lose Shs 171 million after he was deceived that he should deliver over 1500 laptops to the office of the Deputy President.

According to Mr Musyoka, Mr Chesang and others had tricked him that the laptops were to be delivered to the office of the DP.
However, officers attached to the DCI could later find the laptops being sold at different shops within the city center. More laptops could later be found in the suspect’s house. But Mr Chesang could only defend himself saying that the laptops were not his and he was only keeping them for one Teddy Awiti. He provided an agreement to that effect.

This is despite investigations showing that he even picked the laptops by himself from a shop in Eastleigh and another in town.
