The recent murder
of Homa Bay county nominee to the Transport docket Mr. Danny Opar has attracted
the attention of police investigators and the wider residents of the county in
general. The police would be interested in knowing know why Danny was killed
just a day to his official swearing in, an event that was to take place on a Monday
10/06/2019.
The residents
would on the other hand want to know who the murders are. Most residents of the
county believe that the killers are locally based business people who want to
cover up their dirty deals from being exposed. The police are said to be
probing crucial leads as they try to unravel the murder of Mr. Opar. There are claims that the
executive was murdered by cartels that feared he would expose their thievery
should he have been sworn in for the job.

In the elaborate graft Mr. Opar was about to unravel, the county staff were fraudulently altering figures to fake massive claims for the businessmen. The dealers would then later share the looted funds with their networks within the county government. It must be noted that Homa Bay County is currently engulfed in many corruption related scandals.

senior officials in the county are already in courts facing a myriad of corruption
related charges why others are still under investigation by the police and the
Kenya Anti-corruption Commission official’s based in Kisii.
