KENYAN MAN BLAMES NAIVAS SUPERMARKET FOR SELLING BAD MEAT

The expose is likely to infuriate Kenyans even more having come soon after the Veterinary Department is warned Kenyans in March this year over pork contaminated with epilepsy-causing tapeworms in Nairobi

A man only known as KWOBAH on Twitter is demanding for answers after the contaminated meat story was aired last evening by the NTV. KWOBAH seems to have been pointing fingers of blame at the giant supermarket Naivas branch of Westlands for having sold contaminated liver to his family for a period of time, something he says in a tweet, exposed his young family at a risk.

The Tweet says that I’m so annoyed. Our baby was weaned on liver from supermarket, Naivas Westlands to be precise. We have struggled with asthma since. To finally see the connection is really infuriating.

 The expose is likely to infuriate Kenyans even more having come soon after the Veterinary Department is warned Kenyans in March this year over pork contaminated with epilepsy-causing tapeworms in Nairobi and surrounding areas. The warning read as follows;
The department is especially concerned over what it says is a growing habit at ‘pork joints’ where patrons are consuming poorly cooked pork chased down with alcohol.
“Some patrons belief that alcohol in the stomach can kill any worms consumed in pork through ‘making the worms drunk’, hence putting their own health at risk,”
