GOVERNMENT URGED TO REPOSSESS SCHOOL COMPOUND FROM A NOTORIOUS EASTLEIGH LAND GRABBER

There has been a public outcry over rampant cases of land grabbing of public land in Nairobi County ranging from Schools, public dispensaries, markets and social halls by powerful business tycoons with connections and protection from those mandated by law to safeguard the interests of the public.
 
Juja area in Eastleigh
A case in point is  a land that belongs to a primary school in Parklands and Juja area in Eastleigh that has been fraudulently transferred to a company associated with a prominent business woman by the name Udbi Yahye who the residents claims is a notorious land grabber in the area. It is said that Nairobi and Kiambu county governments, and the National land Commission officials are aware of fraudulent and irregular transactions yet are unwilling to come to the rescue the school land that is now graced by three massive apartments’ blocks.

Buoyed by the in action by the authorities, she and her team have grabbed another piece of land in Highridge area where the excavation is undergoing for another high rise building.

The residents have sworn to take the monumental stride taken by Kenyans when they protested in solidarity with Lang'ata primary school pupils to reclaim grabbed land. " we condemn in the strongest terms possible against the grabbing of school land and call for measures to reclaim the school land by whatever means possible, legally and constitutionally in mass protest" claimed the an angry Juja resident.
