X-ray services for a suspected COVID-19 patient can greatly help in revealing the effects that the contagious disease may have on human lungs. |
As the world scrambles to tackle the rapid escalation of corona-virus, patients at the Busia Referral Hospital have been forced to take their X-ray scanning services from a private facility within town after the only available machine at the Busia referral hospital broke down. X-ray services for a suspected COVID-19 patient can greatly help in revealing the effects that the contagious disease may have on human lungs.
In a desperate way to save face, the referral hospital has released a memo to hoodwink the general public that everything is under control despite patients being referred to a private clinic within town where they are charged exorbitant fees for the services irrespective of whether they have a medical cover or not. The memo from the radiology department and addressed to all seeking X-ray services blames lack of X-ray films for the problems facing the only referral hospital in the county.
It is even worse as very sick patients seeking admission at the facility are forced to look for their own bedding, all the beds lack sheets and blankets, the County has failed to openly address the issue, leaving the patients at their own mercy.
