Florance Mutua
|
A
few days after the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU)
Secretary-General Francis Atwoli was
condemned by enraged residents of Busia County for appointing Hon. Florence
Mutua as their representative in the Luhya unity pact, county residents have
now come out openly to denounced her marital ties with the Butula community
where she claims to be married into.
The late Frank Oyugi |
According to the residents, her bonafide husband is a one
Mike Muthama Ngue, who paid a dowry of three goats. Mr Ngue is the father to
her three children.
After their marriage with Ngue failed to work out, she moved
out and got married to the late Frank Oyugi, a former Managing Director of
Kenya Wine Agencies Limited. The late Oyugi died last year, he hailed from
Simuli village in Butula. Her union with Oyugi also failed to work out, they
were not blessed with any children. She then moved out of the marriage and
later met Mr Waingah, who also hails from Butula Sub County.
During the 2013 polls, she became too engrossed into
politics, contesting for the Busia Woman Representatives seat where she
unceremoniously ended the relationship after capturing the seat courtesy of the
popular ODM party, they had no children.
A lonely Mr Waingah married another wife. He lived a quiet
life, this was until 2017 when Hon. Florence Mutua emerged again for 2017
polls, she rented a house for a few days during the campaigns to hoodwink
residents that she was with them, only to vanish once again after winning the
seat.
The residents say that it's wrong for people mostly
non-Marachi to believe that Mutua is a true wife to Mr Waingah. Both culturally
and ethically, a true wife is one to whom you share the same home and bed.
She has never spent any single night in Waingah's home, so she does not qualify
to be our sister-in-law.
