Bungoma County Kenya Kwanza gubernatorial aspirant Ken Lusaka has said that he will install ICT hubs in the whole county if given a chance to be the next governor. Speaking at Bungoma’s Posta Ground last week during a political rally, Mr Lusaka said that many youths in the county normally miss out on job opportunities advertised online because they lack an internet connection.
He said that the installation of ICT hubs in the county will give residents' the ability to access online services. “Some important jobs are normally advertised by the Public Service Commission but because our people lack bundles to apply online they end up missing out on the opportunities, today I am affirming that the internet will be all over the county,” Lusaka added.
He said that with the budget of 12B he will be able to run many projects that will benefit residents adding that the current regime had a bigger budget than his first administration but what he did cannot be compared to what governor Wangamati has done.
Lusaka argues that when he was the governor he installed security lights In towns and along all roads but currently some of the lights aren't working, affirming that if he clinches power he will ensure that new security lights are installed so that business operators can run the business until late hours without fear. Lusaka said that he will ensure that Hustler funds are distributed to all the 45 wards and benefit small business operators adding that he will also give small business operators a tax waiver of two days a month and during public holidays. Lusaka asked the region to back William Ruto’s presidential bid assuring them that Kenya Kwanza has good plans to change the economy and the country.
