spokesman Mr. Cyrus Oguna has been appointed government spokesman replacing Mr.
Erick Kiraithe. A statement signed by ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru issued
on Tuesday morning said the move takes effect immediately, as the government
continues to streamline its communication structure

The new appointee will be charged with
the responsibility of overseeing all government communication channels under
the ministry of ICT. Some of these channels include; Directorate of Information
and all county and sub county information officers, Department of Public
Information, National Government Communication Centre and the Government Media
centre. "I congratulate Colonel (RTD) Cyprus Odhiambo Oguna on his
appointment and pledge the Government's support, as he takes up this
challenging but exciting role," said the CS in a statement. Mr.Oguna will
also have a content oversight role over the two government news gathering and
dissemination channels, Kenya News Agency (KNA) and MyGov.
