Busia County Women representative, Florence Mutua who is said to be a great buddy of Aisha Jumwa has left many ODM adherents wondering if she is truly committed to the party; her boss Raila Odinga is also said to be suspicious of her moves. She has tried to invite Mr. Odinga twice to visit Busia but all her invitations were rejected. One was during her homecoming party that was held at Ojaamong's rural home with so many questions lingering on why not hold the event at her alleged matrimonial home.
The second snub was when she invited Raila for the launch of a local sugar factory that had already been launched by Deputy President William Ruto. Since then, the Women Rep. has been making so many theatrics buying loyalty from some few women groups using the affirmative action funds; this has misled her into believing that she can make it on any political party, away from the dominant ODM.
Over the weekend she was invited as a guest at Ruto’s funds drive in
Funyula Constituency in aid of Nangina Catholic Church. The event was graced by
Hon. Ababu, who represented D.P Ruto the area MP. Hon.DR. Oundo Mudenyo of ODM
was not even invited the area MCA. Hon. John Obwogo who had to gate crushed the
event after being left out in the dark by the organizer.
Local MCA Hon.Obwogo in his speech told the congregation that anyone hoping to vie for any elective seat in Busia from on any other party other than ODM was just wasting his or her time. It forced her to mumble some few words about Raila before leaving in a huff.
