Eastland hotel billionaire managing Director Tang Wei Qin
alias “Mr. Chi” brutally assaulted one of the hotel’s long serving Chefs in
front of stunned lunch time customers.The matter saw the Kenyan Chef, Edward Mulwa verbally sacked
after the brutal assault. Mr. Mulwa suffered serious injuries from the kicks
and blows directed at him from an enraged Chi who continued hurling abuses towards
the helpless man.

failed to arrest the Chinese business man. Mr. Mulwa said that
his boss had given a colleague, a waitress an order for a meal that composed of
chicken wings among other assortments, but she forgot to deliver the order to
the busy chefs in the kitchen during the fateful lunch hour.

With a P3 form dully filled
and signed some of the eye witnesses recording statements by his side, “Mr.
Chi” is still walking free. He has arrogantly told off media personnel who have
tried to get his comments, telling them to contact his lawyer, a Mr. Koech.
Inquiries by this writer established that instead of the
police summoning Mr. Chi to record statements, the same police have been
frequenting the hotel under questionable circumstances, they secretly hold meetings
with Tang Wei Qin with reports emerging that the police have since been
compromised to kill the case.
The CCTV clips in our possession concerning the incident,
shows the victim Mulwa dressed in black uniform outfit complete with a white
cylindrical top gear, seen walking just behind “Mr. Chi’s” daughter to meet the
boss at the terrace restaurant where the raging “Mr. Chi” was seated, after the
beating he’s seen in the clip leaving without the headgear.
The incident has also triggered burning queries on the
circumstances under which Mr. Chi’s fellow Chinese managing director and
co-owner of the Eastland hotel was deported back to China, twice. Why and how
Mr. Chi is running a billion shillings construction business without proper
licenses?
Eight Chinese woman
employees at the hotel with no work permits were secretly whisked out of the
country back to China after one of the Chinese women racially abused and physically
beat up a Kenyan lady, the matter was also reported to the Kilimani police for
action but “killed”. How did Mr. Tang Wei Qin alias “Mr. Chi” acquire a Kenyan
National Identity Card?
Inquiries at the Kilimani police station revealed that no
action has been taken over the incident; instead the investigating officer P.C.
Mutuku handling the case has been trying to convince Mr. Mulwa to accept Sh.
5000 from Mr.Chi for medication plus a further token of Kshs. 3000 to withdraw
the assault charges.
