Residents along the Nangina/Sio-port
road in Funyula constituency have come out openly to condemn the poor state of
their road.
The busy road which is mainly used
by fish traders, has turned into an eyesore, big potholes are a common sight. The
state of the road started deteriorating early last year during the last season’s
heavy rains.

The locals are now planning to hold
demonstrations to register their anger, but in a rejoinder CDF officials in the
constituency through their chairman, have urged locals to shelve the planned
demos assuring them that the contractor will soon be on ground.
Most of the public vehicles playing
the route stopped after the sorry state of the road worsened this badly affected
the smooth mobility for locals.
