Afya SACCO  38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at KICC in Nairobi Saturday was almost brought to a premature end after a group of rowdy members demanded to know the fate of the FOSA's which had lent out millions of shillings yet their transactions were not reflected in the audited reports read out to members.

"What happened to the FOSA's and what is the fate of the missing millions lent out as unsecured loans?", a member backed by several others demanded to know as the chairman fielded questions after reading his annual report which again failed to capture recent developments at the Afya Centre Sacco head office building on Tom Mboya street.
When the chairman rose to his feet in apparent anger lashing out at "troublesome elements acting on behest of certain powerful figures" pandemonium broke loose as several members took to their feet amidst catcalls and jeers and told off their chairman for showing "intolerance, naivety and incompetence" in the running of the Saaco demanding that he resign immediately.
Another member who said he was called Wachira rose up to support Onyango who had spoken earlier saying a recent development at Afya center where a casino had been closed down and an opposition politician allowed to open a hotel needed to be investigated and stopped. "Why are they opening another restaurant on the basement when there is a different one on the ground floor which never has enough customers? Is this a cost effective investment?" they pondered. This reporter was thrown out of the plenary hall when the chairman and his team realized that he was taking notes.
